On Friday, November 7, Superintendent Scott Nicol informed the Board that he will be on leave pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act.  During Dr. Nicol's absence, Assistant Superintendent Oliver Barton will serve as Acting Superintendent, as appointed by the Board on Friday.
 
The Board of Education is confident that the important work of the Ellington Public Schools on behalf of students and families will continue uninterrupted under Mr. Barton's leadership during Dr. Nicol's leave.
